Cosmetic makeovers
A smile designed as a whole, not one tooth at a time
A cosmetic makeover looks at your whole smile together: the shade, shape, length and line of your teeth, and how they sit in your face. Dr. Hazaveh plans the result digitally first, so you can see the direction before any tooth is touched, then makes the work in-house.

The best cosmetic work is noticed as a good smile, not as dental work.
What it is
A makeover is a cosmetic plan for several teeth at once. It can lighten stained teeth, close small gaps, even out chipped or worn edges, lengthen teeth that have shortened with wear, or reshape teeth that have always bothered you. Often the change is modest. The aim is a smile that suits your face and still feels like your own.
Because the teeth are planned together, the pieces fit. Whitening sets the shade before veneers are matched to it; a crown on a back tooth is shaped to the same line as the veneers in front. Dr. Hazaveh scans your teeth, designs the new smile in CAD around your bite and the proportions of your face, and makes the veneers and crowns in-house, so the design and the finished work come from the same hands.
Healthy teeth and gums come first. Decay, gum problems and bite issues are treated before cosmetic work begins, because they affect how long results last. Cosmetic care is elective, so there is time to ask questions and think it over, and the plan can be done in stages if that suits you better.
It may be right for you if
- Several teeth bother you at once: colour, shape, gaps or worn edges
- Older crowns, fillings or bonding no longer match the teeth around them
- You have tried whitening and want more of a change
- You tend to hide your smile in photos
- Your teeth are healthy, but their shape has always bothered you
What to expect
01
A conversation first
You tell Dr. Hazaveh what you would like to change and what you would rather keep. Photos of smiles you like can help, though the goal is always a result that suits your own face.
02
Scan, photos and a full check
Your teeth are scanned digitally, photographed and examined, with X-rays if needed. Any decay or gum problems are treated first so your results have a healthy base.
03
A design you can see
The new smile is designed in software around your face and bite. You see the proposed shape and length before anything is done, and the design is adjusted until it looks right to you.
04
Treatment, in stages if you like
Whitening usually comes first, then veneers, crowns or bonding as the plan calls for. Each piece is made in-house to the design, so what you saw on screen is what is fitted.
05
Follow-up
We check how your teeth and bite feel once you have lived with them, answer any questions, and talk about how to keep your results looking their best over the years ahead.
Looking after your results
Cosmetic results last longest when the teeth underneath stay healthy. Regular check-ups and cleanings catch small problems early and keep your teeth and any restorations polished. Some habits, such as smoking or a lot of coffee, tea or red wine, can shorten how long a brighter shade lasts.
- Brush twice a day and clean between your teeth daily
- Keep up regular check-ups and cleanings
- Rinse with water after coffee, tea or red wine
- Don’t use your teeth to open packages or bite nails
- Ask about a night guard if you grind your teeth

With a consultation. You don’t need to know the name of a treatment. Tell Dr. Hazaveh what you notice when you smile, and you’ll hear which options may help and which may not be needed. Many patients start with something simple, like whitening.
Yes. The new smile is designed on a scan of your teeth, so you can see the proposed shape, length and line on screen and ask for changes before any tooth is prepared. For veneers and crowns, a try-in of the design is often possible too.
Usually not, because cosmetic work is often considered elective. Coverage depends on your plan, though, and work that repairs damage may be treated differently. Call the office at (610) 779-0911 and we can talk through what to ask your insurer.
They shouldn’t. Natural-looking results come from matching shape, shade and proportion to your face and your other teeth, which is why the smile is designed as a whole. Dr. Hazaveh will talk through the look you want and explain what to expect before any permanent change is made.
In most cases, yes. Decay, gum disease and bite problems can shorten the life of cosmetic work, so they are usually treated first. That may add a step, but it gives your new smile a stronger foundation.
